Long And Healthy Hair

Written By Brittney Thurman

Achieving long and healthy hair is often times a challenging task. Many women desire long hair, yet they can’t seem to grow it out long enough. There are many ways to combat this issue; simply taking care of your hair will allow you to maintain length as well as healthy ends.

  1. Reduce the amount of heat you use on your hair; heat is very powerful and has the ability to greatly damage hair. Such tools include curling irons, blow dryers, and straighteners. Don’t feel as if you can’t use these products, just avoid using them daily.

  2. Wash your hair only two or three times a week; your scalp produces natural oils that are vital to your hair’s health. Try to limit the amount of times you wash your hair, and allow these oils to absorb through the strands of your hair. If your hair is too oily to style, use a dry shampoo to absorb excess oils.

  3. Use dry shampoo instead of normal shampoo; as mentioned above, dry shampoo is an excellent alternative to normal shampoo. Normal shampoo strips your hair of its natural oils which creates dryness. Invest in a great dry shampoo and spray it directly on your roots. The oil will be quickly absorbed and your hair will be ready to style.

  4. Try deep conditioning treatments; heavy conditioners have the ability to restore hair’s natural moisture and fix any damaged ends. Coconut oil is a natural conditioner and can be applied to the hair; allow the product to sit for about a half an hour.

Each of these tips can help you achieve the long, natural, and healthy hair you desire. Try one, two, or all four tips to restore your hair’s natural health.
